Lighting Upgrade Base 08 TL

There is ambient lighting under the dash on the driver and passenger side 08 TL-S. I'd like to mod mine 08 base TL to add some lighting. Would tapping into the fuse box work? If not, what's a good way to do this?

i did this mod on my 04. i wired straight through the window fuse on the drivers side, so the window lock switch acts also as a light switch for the floor lights. ive had it for 6 months with no problems, ill post pics asap

the 08 base should have some dim blue lighting down there in the footwells...

If the lighting already exist and it's too light for you, you can splice into those wires to add brighter lights. That way they work properly too.

WOW! There is a light bulb under there. It's very small. Can I replace it with a bigger/brighter bulb?

there is a frosted cover on it, take it off and it'll get brighter. If not, you can replace it with something similar.

I looked in the owners manual to see if the light is listed. It doesn't look like it.

I think the bulb is like this one.

Can I replace this one with an LED?
