Light Duty Trailer Hitch

Has anyone tried to install a light duty trailer hitch on an 04?
I had a look under the rear of one at my local dealer but the area where a hitch might be installed is covered with plastic finishing material so I was unable to determine if attaching points were available.

I read that installing a hitch will void your warranty...

Why would anyone want to tow anything with the TL? :lol2:

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Manual clearly states trailer will void warranty.

Someone - me - might want to carry a bicycle carrier in a trailer hitch.

One wants roof rack, another a hood scoop, and now someone wants a trailer hitch...

What's next, white wall tires?

BTW, here's the quote from the manual:

"Your vehicle is not designed to tow a trailer. Attempting to do so can void your warranties."

Well I need a small hitch as well. So when I get the car I hope someone has one out. I have a 10k Honda Turbo Jetski that I need to pull. So what, I ain't gonna buy another vehicle to just sit and collect dust just to pull that. The TL can pull it just fine, and the service manager says they have people pull with the TLs all the time.

If he is talking about 04TL, you would be better to have installation from him directly. Perhaps, his Acura dealer could do some extended warranty for you afterwards.

Hey all, sorry for the negative comments earlier. I was trying to be funny. In re-reading the comments, I realize that they just sound negative.

That's better. Now I don't feel so bad about my white walls.

Me too...

I am in need of a hitch also. I towed light loads with my 2001 CL-S for several years and never had any issues. Never had anyone at Acura service say anything to me about the warranty either.
