a letter to acura
my freind is a manager of the internet at an acura dealership and he fowarded me a letter that a customer sent him...
The 2009 TL is the ugliest acura to roll off the production line in the history of Acura Motor Co. I mean how can a dealership sell this car and still call it self a business? i would boycott the car and refuse to sell it until acura gets it s**t together. I am going to open my own acura dealer and refuse to carry the TL. RL TSX MDX RDX...but NO TL. and if acura doesnt like it then they can go back to the drawing board, except this time put their glasses on and not try to mold a Maxima, M45, a Jet, and a Fat Chinese Chick. Go fk ur self acura TL designers. I hate you. You all stink.

The 4G in NBP with blackened front tooth...and some tinted out of the tails...looks sick!
So a little imagination comes to play...and the 4G by far will outshine my TL-S.
(in all other colors..the car is just too ugly..)

the 8G accord is on point.. the 4G TL is okay.. At first I couldn't stand looking at it (especially the rear).. but it's growing on me.. I really didn't like the 2G MDX when it came out but I kinda like it now. I think the 3G body is timeless though.. too bad they didn't follow-up strong.

No matter what you guys say about the 4G, I would never take it.... Not even drunk....
I believe all 3G TLers would agree with me that 3G design line should have been kept by Acura, something like Bimmers or Mercedes do with their series....
The essence of 3G is timeless.... perfect size both exterior and interior.... of course not perfect, still lots of room for improvement....

Some one painted the nose white around the Acura emblem. Because of the terrible nose and rear, the dealers are actually painting the trim on the front and rear trunk to match the color of the car, and charging extra as they sell it as a sport model.

Agreed, the the 4G TL's look is controversial at best. They should have just slightly altered the 3Gs look to make it more contemporary. I thought the previous generation G35 sedan was dowdy looking that is the reason I went with the 3G TL in 2005. However, Infiniti made necessary tweaks and the new G37 sedan looks hot rivaling or besting the 3G in looks.

I went to the auto show in NYC this past weekend. I never have liked the look of the new TL but I have never seen it up close either. I walked over to it and sat inside, I thought the interior was comfortable and really nice looking. Then I stepped out of the car and looked over the outside. I love my 06 tl, but this car is just FUGLY. The funny thing was when I was there I spoke to another guy looking at it, he was about my age also. I said to him "this is really ugly", he said "yes it is" he told me that he also had an 06 TL that he loved but just didn't like the new "look". I have to agree.
I'm not crazy about the tsx either but I COULD live with it, especially with the V6 from the TL. I got one as a loaner (with the 4 cyl) and it wasn't a bad car, not as light as the old tsx but acceptable.
