Left light lower than right?

With my new TL, I noticed that the left light illuminates about a foot less (horizontally) out from the car than the right light does. Does anybody else have a simalar problem like this? Its not something I'd consider an issue, but I was just wondering if this is the case with other TL's as well. Thanks

I'ts designed that way to keep you from blinding the oncoming traffic. If your left beam was horizontal and aimed straight ahead, it would be aimed directly at the driver coming towards you on a two-lane straight highway.

Thus, the left headlight is aimed slightly inwards and down to be safer.

I agree with GotJazz - my headlights are setup the exact same way.

Question

There are always new guys popping out the repeated issues, maybe we should come out a thread combining all of isseus which is normal/abnormal in 04TL, such as headlight, brake noise, tires...

This may help newbies know what is normal/what is not...

C'mon guys!
Isn't the left one usually (hung) lower than the right?

Is this the case for 02 TL? I find many cars flick me the brights as I approach since they think I have my brights on. I always have the fogs on as well so maybe that has something to do with it?

Ahh, I see now. Ok thanks. I figured that would be the reason. That’s a good idea for the normal/abnormal thread for the 04 TL. I do search for things, but sometimes you get a ton of hits that are irrelevant and other times when you do specific searches you don't get any returns.

So what. They can ask whatever they want.

In general (I am not trying to flame rets), I hate seeing posts that lecture people on using the search. Let them use the forum however they want. There are no rules about asking the same question that has already been asked. So what if we cover the same thing twice. Someone else out there will read it for the first time.

I just try to help. This is the free forum, ppl can whine, inquire, moan, appraise, just do whatever they like to do.

I understand your point, but lots of topics have come up more than 5-10 times since 04TL in the market. And, a while ago, there was 60 hours period, three guys had been asking the same questions seperately. They just like their questions/issues answered specificly. Fine.

IMO, some of ppl may not mind seeing hundreds of threads everyday, some of ppl may hate to see redundant questions again and again, we don't know and cannot say anything. I just posted my 2 cents. Based on what I observed here, usually the same questions or issues will be reported as new ones every 2-4 weeks.

For me, it never bothers me. If no one replis, I will try. If someone replies, I skip it. But, later you will find ppl gradually have less and less interests in checking this site.

If there is sticky threads on the top collecting most of common symptons 04TL may have, they are not problems but confused ppl, newbies may get benefit from this.

So if my right is (hung) lower than my left?

Does that mean, I'm suppose to be in Japan?

No, that just means you're driving on the wrong side of the road.....or here in the States, hitting from the wrong side of the plate.
