First of all, those are 1led sockets...and second of all the 12Led is bigger than the whole light housing. They barely fit in the license - had to file them down to little > shaped lights, and then they still gave me problems. Sticking with 9leds back there.

The reason mine burnt out was bc I have 2 JL Audio 12's in my trunk. The constant bass breaks the bulb. You have to get LED bulbs without the diode / resister inside bc that is what breaks / gets disconnected. This one is working for me...

....I said "EVERYWHERE" but obviously 12LEDs are not going to fit every socket. What I meant is I have LEDs EVERYWHERE. My bad.12LEDs will fit everywhere EXCEPT the console and glovebox (1LED) and the license plate (noted this in other posts as well.) I was thinking of filing them too but decided rather to trade em with the new high-power 3- watt LEDs Brian has. He says they have less problems with flickering and burnout. I thought they would look too focused and not have dispersion but he sent me pics and they look great. It'll suffice for now but ultimately I think I'm going to try the cold-cathode route next spring.

I put red ebay 6 LED s for my doors and map lights. I think they look great with the type s interior. I tried replacing the glove box and center console with a 3 diode led supposed "super bright white" and they were so dim that I took them out and put the originals back in. I'm happy to hear that the LED liscence plate bulbs are a bad idea because I was about to install them. I'm glad I didn't have to go through the time to figure it out through trial and error. I just recently put super white 4LED s for my vanity lights. They are also from ebay. They came from Hong Kong and they are very high quality with two resistors. The 4 LED s also all face down which makes them brighter than most 6 LED bulbs. The sellers name is clever choose and here is the description. I got 4 bulbs for $4 including shipping. the only downside is it took two weeks to receive the item because of it's coming all the way from Hong Kong. The description is 2pc white new super bright 4smd led 5055 194 t10 168.
