Thumbs up LED lighting at it's best!

To anyone who is interested in LED lighting to improve the look of their car I suggest checking into Tec-Toyz.com. There are few companys out there that offer LED's but nothing compares to the quality and service that is offered by this business. Any questions about what type of bulb your car needs this is the place to get it from. I bought white LEDs for the interior of my Aegean Blue Pearl 03 TL-S and blue LED's for the courtesy lights for the front doors. The only thing I can tell you is not only does it replace the dull stock lighting but it gives it a classy look.... These bulbs are so bright and clean looking it's ridiculous! This is an awesome affordable upgrade that will make your car look 10x better and so easy to install...I also just ordered white LED's for my license plate to finish off my exterior and will post pictures ASAP!

Here is a direct link to Tec-Toyz if anyone should have any questions anytime regarding bulb type, colors, sizing and ect. Brian@Tec-Toyz.com. As I can see.. Brian from Tec-Toyz has sold thousands of LED bulbs and 100% positive feedback from Ebay also see this link http://feedback.ebay.com/ebaymotors...userid=tec_toyz

Yeah that's why I went w/ Tec-Toyz. Plus he don't dick around I told him exactly what I wanted my car to look like and he shipped them little bad boys in four days! I Bought LED's from superbrightleds.com two years ago on my old car and they were dim as shit and one burnt out....I emailed them and they told me some shit about If I had an amp hooked up the vibration and wattage probably shortened its life. That's bull shit! Brian from tec-toyz will replace any defective bulbs...that's why I deal w/ him.

tl83s doesn't work for tec-toyz, but he is trying to help us out by letting us know about what looks like a good source for these LED's.

There is a similar thread running in 2G TL, but with less skepticism and more information. Check it out. https://acurazine.com/forums/ramblings-12/internet-music-sites-130767/

I have sent brian at tec-toyz an email to invite him to be a vendor here. I will let you know what happens.

I agree with TL83s. I just ordered mine at the end of last week, but haven't got them yet. Brian is awesome to deal with, very helpful, and is flexible in working out a deal. Definately somebody you can trust.

Im thinking about getting hyper white 9LED's 921 for my back up (reverse) lights. What do you all think? I thought it would look pretty cool. They are bright LED's so there shouldn't be any problem there with people not seeing me backing up....

I've searched the forums and looked at the websites. I have Acura bulb numbers (2cp, 4cp, 5w), Sylvania bulb numbers, and the two LED vendors' bulb numbers, but am not smart enough to put it all together. Could someone tell me what LED bulb number to buy for my 05 TL front map lights, back dome/map light, and door courtesy lights? Please?

You can use 921 wedge 9LED for all of them. Map lights, dome lights & door courtesy lights. The 921 can replace 2825 which is also a 194. Yes a bit confusing......

OK, I even had a bad bulb (color was little bit different). Asked Bryan for replacement. He sent me the replacement right away and has not asked me to send the bad one back. He's an awesome guy

That bulb will replace everything you mentioned except the dome light.

That is a festoon bulb, not a wedge bulb. Completely different number, I forgot what it is though.

No....The 921 can replace these Manufactory bulb Part #'s: 194 , 168 , 158 , 12256 , 12961, 2821, 2825.

The festoon bulbs 31mm 1.25" or 39mm 1.5" are the bulb sizes for dome lights on 99-03 TL's. I have a 6LED festoon bulb 39mm in my 03 TL-S dome. Everything else is 921 wedge.

04+ TL uses manufactory #2825 wedge easly replaced by 921 wedge.

If you replace your interior bulbs with LEDs do your lights still fade off when you close your doors?

Yes they do fade off very nice and elegant looking if you ask me....LED's look best on the 3rd Generation TL. Especially on the license plate since there are 2 bulbs instead of 1 on 2nd Gen TL.

Ah, I am vanquished. I thought this was 2nd gen, because I think I got linked to it from 2nd gen, and I guess I didn't bother to check.

Bah.

Installed 9-element 921's today and am very pleased. Bright white in map and dome lights, blue in doors. The whites are almost blue and make the originals look amber and dull. Good with my quartz interior.
Brian at Tec-Toyz was very responsive and pleasant to deal with.

I replaced all interior lights except for the vanity mirror lights with the nine bulb red LED's I put the one bulb LED's in the glove compartment and someplace else (i forget where). I found Brian very helpful and honest. He had a chance to sell me red LED's for the liscence plate but he informed me that there maybe legal issues so I declined to order them. BTW, all my friends now call my car the redlight district now.

Did you actually replace the vanity lights? Wondering if its possible and what size bulb it takes...

Just finished installing the interior lights (white LED) and the license plate light. Decided not to change the glove box and center console lights because too much removal is required and didn't want any queaks coming out after reinstalling.

The lights look super. Yes, give great service and fast shipment.

I think you might have been misinformed. In order to change the console light, you pull the little white plug out and put a new bulb in. For the glove box, you squeeze the glove box together, drop it down, and pull the little white plug out to replace the bulb.

Those are actually easier than replacing the door bulbs.

Hope this changes your mind!

Cheers!

Steve

I agree. I was also misguided into thinking that center console would be an extreme ordeal. It's probably the easiest. Anybody do the vanity lights? Any tips on removing them would be nice...I feel like i'm pulling it out of the cloth...

Oh, I've been using all White LEDS. So it would definitely stay white...just brighter with a hint of blue...

then again, perhaps the yellow light is better for the ladies to check their makeup...I can imagine the white-blue making you look a little pale and corpseish
