Hi,

i was wondering where i could get some Bright LED lights for my back license plate? I bought some form Autobacs up in LA area (i think) but they're a little dim. I want it to be as bright as the Lexus ones. Any of you have good tips of places i can go to?

The cathode approach seems to match the lexus license plate lights the most. 2nd link listed I believe. Search keyword "License plate" for more.

 

also, try superbrightleds.com and autolumination.com, a lot of people here use those sites for various leds, though i'm not sure which ones they are using for the license plate

 

 

don't mess with those LEDs. i have had them in for my for about a year and grant it, they didn't go out completely. But, when i took a close look at them, a few of individual led lights did go out. I had 9LEDs. do yourself a favor and go with the coldcathode lights.. they are 1000X brighter and LEDS and they last a hell of a lot longer. and you can pick them up for under 15$ shipped.

Those led clusters are garbage, I will agree with that.

The led's I tested are at least as bright as the cold cathodes...

ebay..fry's or any computer hardware store should have them.

 

Oh so the cold cathodes, i can jus buy at fry's or something, and they should be as bright as the lexus ones?

^^ Maybe it was. Some people may on be subscribed to one of those threads and get on only once every few weeks. They will see the thread they were subscribed to, but not any of the other ones
