Question LED leaking?

Not sure if posting in the right section...But i had a pair of leds not old maybe a few months, i opened the box and this orange liquid looked to be coming out from where the metal connector is that touches the circuit in the car (idk if that makes sense)

it almost looks like an oil has no smell..it is DEFF not rust. I have to say its coming from the LED is this possible?

Maybe they put some dielectric grease on the connectors?

Is it thick or very runny?

If it's running, were they left somewhere exposed to heat? Such as sitting inside your car?

Its thick but not that thick. like if i were to tap it on finger some would come out. It has been in my car, but it hasnt been that warm maybe a few days here and there? would it have ruined it? what is the liquid if it is from being in my hot car?

Well I know some applications use dielectric grease, it helps make a connection from the LED to the car's plug.

If you tilt them around, it shouldn't run unless it's still hot. When I applied mine at room temp. it stayed in one place.

Glad I could help! I hope it is that as well.

If you want to wipe it off, it won't be a problem.
