I just posted something about this a day ago. Take it to your dealer and have them look at it. I have an 07 tl with about 4500 miles on it. They are going to replace the leather on the driver seat under warranty.

This happens to all of them. Have someone sit in the back for a few hours and you'll have butt prints. Have someone put their knee down anywhere and you'll get a stretch mark. Rub the bolsters when you get in and out and you'll get wrinkles. If there is anything I dont like about the TL, it's the seats. They wear way to quickly.

Do a search and you'll see tons of posts on that topic over the years. I had my driver's side leather (seat only) replaced last summer as a 'one time only, good will gesture' by my local dealership.

I agree-take it to your dealer and show it to them-had my seat covering replaced under warranty on my 06 tsx when it had 31,500 miles on it. good luck

^^^^ I do agree with the analogy, its just that the leather "ages" way to fast. My drivers seat in my 24K mile 06 looks as worn as the leather seat in our 140K 2000 odyssey its really unbelievable.

I understand leather wears, but the TL wears faster than any other car i have seen. My mom has an 05 RL with 42000 miles and the leather looks better than my o7 TL with 4500 miles. ALso my brother has an 04 tsx, and again it looks better than my car.

i have 79k on mine and i have never conditioned it and all i have is a few cracks on the left side of me because thats where i come in n get out from and I weigh 230lbs so the seat gets abused from my big ass sitting in it..... if u ask me, it looks decent..... ive had cars that have less milage on em and have worse condition seats....its probably a case to case thing.

LMFAO!!!!! (Wrinkly like HH's muscles)
the seat warmer element is like a wire sealed inside a sticker and it sticks to the foam. It sits inbtween the leather n foam....in the process its not touched....the only thing that can go wrong is not connecting the harness back up under the seat.

i don't agree with this...i think our leather is way shittier than any i've ever seen in cars that are anywhere within the same price range. why couldn't we get the thick leather they use in camrys and g35's that don't have a permanent wrinkle once u put something down on it?

I just had my leather in my Accord repaired by a company called www.fabrion.net. They did a fantastic job of taking away the wrinkles and a small tear I had. Look up your local business!

ok theres 8 pieces of leather in each front seat in the TL....the perforated inserts and 1 piece on each side of each part ( top n bottom)...the rest of it is vinyl.... if u havent seen how the material is sewn together its really hard to picture it all coming apart in sections. the "thickness" comes from the foam thats sewn to the material as backing before its actually stitched together. so in order to get a thicker fluffier seat u have to take the material off and glue it to the foam pad but u cant put much because this material has a very little amount of play in it

"you can tell it was built in America" (not america) you are saying this because of the seats??? that is got to be one of the most ignorant things I have read in a while...and btw your g2 TL was built in America also

I have an 05 with about 26K miles. The leather still looks decent. I use a leather care product every couple of months but nothing special. I can feel for you guys though.

Thumbs up

I would recommend getting a leather car care kit..... i got my 04 TL used with 93k miles on it....the leather looked alright and when i had it for a few weeks i noticed the leather was looking real thirsty! i invested in a leather car care kit.... went thru out the car and it looks real good now...... the wrinkles are still there .....but the creased don't look dry..... like its getting ready to rip..... with the kit i treat the leather at least 4 times a year or how ever often its needed.....
