Leather seats

So--my Tl is coming in this week!! I have been getting kind of worried about hearing how the leather seats dont ware very good!!! Is this a problem for everybody?? Please let me know!! Is it just the front seats, or is it the back seats as well? Anyone have pictures of this? One guy was complaining about it after 8000 miles? That is a nightmare!!!!!

Everybody has opinions. If you sit in the seats they will show wear. Some think the cracks and streching is excessive. Some think it adds character. Enjoy your new car but be aware that if you drive it it will not be new anymore.

No, everyone is not having troubles. If you want a nervous nellie headache, do a search on butt prints. The leather has some characteristics some people find bothersome - I have had no issues with mine (9k miles). They seeming to be "waring" pretty well. But just a kindly word of advice - if you are going to fret over every "WTF" posting on a web Forum, you will not be a happy man (or woman). Maintain composure and common sense, remember that nothing made by the Hand of Man is perfect, and ENJOY your car - that is what i ajm doing, warts and all.

Most of the complaints are coming from 2004 owners, whose cars come with a different seat design that should help prevent the stretching leather problem. My dealer changed my seat -- although to the same 2004 design -- without hesitation. I can already tell the same thing will happen in due time, but I have a feeling Acura is trying to burn through its supply of 2004 seat bottoms -- the dealer just happened to have it in stock, which I don't think was a coincidence.
