Leasing a TL
Leasing a TL
Hey all,
What are the typical costs associated with leasing a non-navi TL? I'd be interested in leasing for 36 months with nothing down and 12k mile allowance. Anyone else here have a similiar lease and willing to share the numbers? What are the monthly payments?
Thanks in advance!

In Los Angeles, where TL prices are as high as they get, you would be looking at a little over $400 or so with very little down, or about mid $300 range with a $2000 down (this is based on my experience and other deals I have seen)
BTW, not sure if it is still true, but 42 months worked out better for me when I got my TL more than a year ago

TL leases
I have been researching lease options as well and found this website. I am not sure I will use but it provides a good point of reference.

In 6 months time I know things are going to change, but I leased my WDP/5At/No-nav for $439 and change from Ferman in Tampa. Terms were 51 months, 2k down, and 12k miles. Best I could do at the time considering the supply/demand of car. Make sure you shop dealers and once you settle on a dealer shop the lease itself. Try to get one that includes gap insurance but make sure you have it even if you need to pay extra. Let us know how you do.
You will save $10 or so a month if you do the smart buy which is pretty much just like a lease. I got mine on Sept 29. $450/month $1200 down which includes EVERYTHING taxes, etc etc etc etc. 18,000 miles a yr. 48 months. I didnt get my 1st bill until Oct 29th. I assume the 36 month is more money.
I also had them put on the full ASPEC body kit and deck lid spoiler for $1600 installed.

I got my 5AT/non-nav in November, 2003. No money down ($525 bank fee and small charge for license/clerical), 15K/year, $453/month (tax included) for 42 months. At the time 42 months was the best lease deal. They included wheel locks, splash guards and trunk tray complimentary. I could've gotten a 12K/year lease for I believe $30/month less. I'm in NJ.

Paying $371.84/mo. for 48 month with $1,362 down - that's with a .0023 lease factor and a 51% residual. You can calc this yourself with a spreadsheet or web-based programs. I'm not sure where the lease factor is now, but probably has moved up. The residual for 36 month is higher, so the payment is higher. Work on the out the door price and then punch it in to see where it puts you. Don't forget sales tax - which, in most states, is an advantage to buying since you're only paying sales tax on the non-residual value of the car spread over your payments.
$371 is a very good lease price. I haggled with my dealership for at least 2 hours over my money factor. I purchased an 05 AM/No-Navi with a .00270 money factor and $2k down which in turn makes my payment around $450 for 42 months (15K miles per year).
