L.e.d headlight strips/audi style?

I am looking for L.E.D HEADLIGHT STRIPS/AUDI STYLE for my 06 tl. I don't want to put them inside the headlight. I want them on the outside of the headlight stuck on.

I am wondering what length I would need to do it properly, and how to run them as DRL'S and would this take away the oem drls and replace them with the led strips, or would I have both?

would it LOOK best to have the led blue or white?

Let me know if you or anyone have done this and have pics and where you got them. Thanks!

Not to be a jackass, but, Come on man, you've been on the forums for 1 year with over 500 post and you're searching for something you can either find out easily or search yourself.

I've seen you post threads that can be EASILY answered by searching aka Tsudo Catback, Mid-Muffler Deletes, What does J-pipe or whatever do, etc...

That's how bad it is, I actually remember them.

First and foremost, these boards (moderators) advise you searching before posting a thread. Second of all, yes, we could've told you the answer, but you could've searched. The time it took you to write a stupid thread, you could've searched am I right? No one hates on this site unless you're lazy. Go back and read your threads and see what you're saying. You advise people to get Mid-muffler delete because everything else sounds like crap (in your opinion), you want to go cheap with a Tsudo Catback and try to ask questions over and over just because you're "scared" to waste money.

No one on this site is hating, we just don't like people that are lazy. Now if you actually searched and attempted to find something and didn't get an answer or it was pretty vague then I can see why you would post a thread. If anything you should search for a thread about L.E.D and post/update that thread with a question. Bforbrian does LED for his car and probably has seen millions of thread about it.

So what is it next? What kind of motor oil should I use? What kind of gas should I use? Come on...

Oh... That's why... You're Canadian.

If you look on the MAIN PAGE you see one. You're pretty horrible at researching.

How long would the led strip have to be? ........how long is the headlight?

OP you're not gonna get any help now my friend. Stop being a douche bag and search. If you searched and there isn't anything about mounting LEDs on the outside of the headlight, which is fucking retarded IMO and is gonna look like shit, then others think it's fucking retarded too and no one has probably done it. (I think in the photo gallery someone posted pics of this and got flamed for it because it looked cheap and tacky)

and regarding connecting LEDs to DRL, why not go through pic section and when you see someone with LEDs in their headlights, ask them how they connected it? There are ALOT of TLs out there with LEDs and someone has probably connected them to the DRL.

The 3GTL is an elegant car from the factory if you are not going to improve on it, leave it alone. Strips look good only when put inside. That's because it gives an OEM appearance to it.

If you want a DIY for what you asking for it is simple: Measure your headlight, buy a strip that will fit. Peel the backing and stick. Run the wires......Post the pics and prepare for flaming.

Yes, flaming on an epic scale. It would look so damn cheap, crappy if you did that IMO. MAYBE, if you didn't put it on the headlight lamp and insted put it on the lower grill. but even then, it looks kinda funky.

First of all, I was joking about the Canadian part. Second of all, we are the most hated nation because probably we are the strongest nation. Please, this is not your forums, so I can read anything I want and post anything I want as long as it is part of the rules. 99% of the members agree with me.

Read your threads and search, look how easy it is.

You guys are some real e thugs...and you are losers who are on here all day and night..gimme a break...if thats how I want to do it, I will do it that way. The only way to be respected on this site is to do what everyone else does, aspec kit, blackout headlight, type s tails bla bla...I switch it up and do it different...I mean what's the point of putting a $40 set of cheap led's inside the light when they will eventually burn out?

I could care less if some internet geeks "roast" me I do what makes me happy not some losers on the internet...you guys need to get a life friends and some bitches for real lol

so you want to switch it up by sticking "cheap" LEDs on the outside of your lights, which you need help measuring, instead of inside where it may actually look somewhat stock-ish? Its not like you were just asking an opinion on how it would look, you were looking at how to do the whole process. Bring some actual thoughts and options and actual product to this thread, not just "i want to replace my DRLs with LED strips, how do i do that?"

my opinion, just forget this idea. not because i am an e thug, haha, its because this is silly and would look just as bad as slapping some LED looking stickers on your headlights and calling it a day.

Hey man, look we're just trying to help a brother out. We are giving you some advise, we don't want a nice looking TL looking bad.

We are also helping you avoid this scenario

We're not trying to make you feel dumb, we are just helping. Honestly, runing wires and lights, outside of a vehicle will add risks. What if some one decides to ripe off your LED's off the headlight??? I'm just saying, it's not a good idea, but like you said , just do what you want, it's your car.

Good luck, I'M OUT

P.S. yes I am having alot of fun with these new found gifs LOL.

E thug here so watch out...

I totally agree with everyone else here. Why waste your time posting something like this when it can be found with 20 minutes of research. Go on ebay and type in LED Strip, see how many hits you get. And then you complain about us saying it going to look like shit? Hmm, prob b/c it is going to look like shit.

Maybe you should have bought a civic.

P.S. I look forward to your threads b/c it gives me a good laugh, so I do appreciated them some what.
