KP Technologies Window roll up module install 3G Garage #I-097

I seem to remember reading somewhere that a precedent was set some time back that put the onus on the dealer / manufacturer to prove that what you did created the problem you're trying to have covered under warranty.

success! I finally had time to install yesterday. It was really easy... only part where i crapped myself was when i was attaching the green / red wires.... My acura was going beep-beep-beep-beep like it does... and as soon as i attached that wire, it stopped. After putting on a new pair of underwear, i put the key in the ignition and it started beeping again.
Other than that, piece of cake

I have an 08 as well. do you remember which wires you used on your 08? Some wires on the 08 TL are different colors than some on the 04-06. (In general.)
Just installed mine yesterday along with my moleskins so I can tint. I soldered all my connections so I don't have to worry about that. Everything worked the first time so I'm pleased with this this install. The only thing I have to get down packed is the timing part which at some point will be secondhand nature. Just gotta keep fiddling with it. The install took about a half hour altogether.

I did this the other week and while haven't gotten to fully enjoy it, it is a very cool feature and will come in very handy this summer.
Was an easy install as well.

Why can't we have all four windows with Auto-Down and Auto-Up? Why can't we have window roll-down WITHOUT holding the button and window roll-up? Why can't we have perforated leather in ALL Acura models? Why can't we have cooled seats in all models?
There are a lot of things that *could* be there and aren't. It's basically a matter of cost.

meburdick...get an IS Lexus...they have all the features you're looking for.
pesado, I don't see why it would affect it, man. It's wired into your door and just reverses the auto down feature.
I use my auto up module EVERY SINGLE day...no lie. Takes some getting used to timing the click to engage it...but once you do, you'll never stop.

Hey everyone I tried to read through but there is just too much info. Can someone confirm this. My 07 type s I have to hold the unlock buttom down for the windows to roll down. If I let go of the unlock button when the windows are half way down they stop there.
With this module if I go to put them up do i just need to hit the lock button twice? or Hold the lock button for the whole time it takes for the windows to go up??

The roll-up is basically "double-click" and release for the Lock button. At that point you're using the KPT device, and that's how *it* was designed.
The terrible functionality of the Toyota NAVI system is a definite complaint as it goes directly to Toyota. The lack of being able to have four window auto-down and auto-up in all cars (or at least all luxury lines) is more of a general gripe since it goes out to the auto industry as a whole.

Ok, sorry for the dumb question, but I read through most of the pages and still didnt find the answer I was looking for. I was just wondering does the sunroof also close with the 2 clicks on the key fob. I just wanted to make sure before I buy. Thx

1) Yes.
2) The window roll-up module for Acura does EXACTLY the same thing as if you put your key in the lock, rotated it to lock and released, then rotated it to lock and held it there. The module was designed to be a circuit that "fooled" the car into thinking that the double key rotate (and hold on the second the time) is what is going on. If you have ANY questions about what to expect, experiment with your car using the key method.

Explain how you are trying to roll the windows down, please. And, it's important for us to know if that process worked *before* you installed this module or not.
