So im at school IN MY CAR when this kid backs into the front of my car, this stupid kid didn't even see me and got out of his car and got pissed at me because his mom's Volks Wagon got marks from my liscense plate holder... Thats not what im mad about im mad because he gets out of the car and goes theres nothing on ur car so idk why ur upset and before i was gonna like kill this kid i caught myself and just said that this is a $34,000 car and urs in worth 20,000... he got pissed so he looks at my bumber and goes ok theres nothing wrong with ur car and he gets in his car and leaves, now its pooring rain out and i didn't see anything myself either... i get home and look and the liscence plat bracket got pushed back into the bumper and the top right corner pushed in part of the bumper... now its right behind the corner of the plate holder but its like cracked and pushed in like 2 inches around and will probably be noticeable when the car it dry. Now my question is should i get it fixed or what ? do u have to get the whole bumper replaced ? im anal about my TL and i know if i don't get it fixed every time i look at it i will just get mad. What should i do ? would i have to get a new bumper and how much would getting a new one or getting it fixed cost ?

Sry for getting out and complaining to u guys but i love my car and i don't know what to do and i look at this family for advice before i tell my real family what happend

Damn that sucks i would be pissed too, i would hunt down that kid tomorrow at school and give him hell! If its not too bad you might be able to fix the bumper with some filler and repaint it, or have to order a new bumper and repaint it, not sure how much it will cost it all depends on how bad it is.

I had to replace a bumper cover on my '05 TL because of a crack. You are looking at about $650-700 painted and installed. I was told that they could put filler in it, but that I would never be completely happy with it. The replaced bumper was perfect and looked completely original with a perfect paint match.

Make the kid's Mom pay for it!!

get on the school intercom system and call his name and car type and tell him to pay you the repairs cost to your TL

lol idk i do want to make him pay for it but lol i feel bad cause the kid is soft and he felt like shit even though i made him feel like more shit but i also didn't tell my parents yet but idk i guess i may just get a new bumper

Dude that happen to me twice within the first 6 months of ownership. His insurance will take care of it. Money is Money and he needs to deal with it ans so should you. If he did damage to your car then he needs to pay for it. Period.

i thought you said he didnt seem to care cuz he said nothing was wrong with your car and got mad at you, even though it was his mistake? listening to how you explained it first i woulda cuss the kid out, and told him i dont really care because hes gonna end up paying for everything.. hahah but if you know the guy and you guys are ok, maybe you guys can work out something under the table to fix your bumper. good luck

yah some kids are jackasses. he doesnt know a great car when he sees one. just show him the damage, and file a claim with his insurance. a accident is a accident and this is what insurance is for.

This is a more serious situation, you should get his/your parents involved to find a solution.

and if that kid really yelled @ you for his mistakes, then hes very ignorant, he should be saying sorry for what he had done, n taking iniative to help fix/take care of your automobile.
