keyless remote range
whenever im in a parking lot, especially when there are a lot of cars around, i have to get really close to the car in order for it to unlock. However, i can open the trunk from a much greater distance. why is that?

Noticed the same thing with my FOB, wondered the same thing.

Funny... I was just messing around with that for the first time today. I noticed I could unlock and roll the windows down from pretty far away. I was pretty psyched about it. Maybe you have a weak battery? Maybe it also depends on which angle you're approaching from?

I've done that, it improves it some.
The range on my Wife's Honda Pilot is ~4X greater than my TL even with batteries that are 3 years old.

The range on the TL really isn't all the great. The Maxima I traded in had an amazing range. I could usually get it to work clear across a large parking lot. It was nice in a large parking lot (like a movie theatre) if I was trying to find your car. I would just hold my hand up over my head, hit the button and listen for the horn.
