keyless remote question...

Hey guys, im new to this site... Well about 2 days ago I was in school and I left my keyless remote in a room at school and didnt realize it. So when I remembered I probably left it there I went back and it was gone. So my friend drove me home and i got my other set and went back about an hour later. When I got there my trunk was open... Nothing was gone but now I know someone has my keys and doesnt want to turn them in to security.

So what I would like to know is how much does a new keyless remote cost? and would I be able to some how change my locks and get two completely new remotes so that the old ones wont even work anymore? Cause this is the only car I can drive to school with and I dont want to have to worry about someone getting into my car now that I know someone has my keys...

If anyone can help I would really appreciate it... Thanks a lot guys.

I cant tell you how much a new remote would cost, I'm guessing around $200 to purchase and program. You dont have to change the locks, I believe they will just re program the remotes and the one that was stolen would become useless.

He said they just have his remote. Unless there's something I dont know about the 08's which is a definite possibility once they re-program his existing remote and the purchased one the one that was stolen shouldn't work at all on his car. That's why when you go to buy an extra remote they tell you to bring all the ones you have because once re programmed any remotes that arent there at the time of programming wont work.

55 per key, then 60 dollars to program the immbolizers on all of them, then 20 for the remote. The remote you can do yourself and erase the old one.

You will need do have:
2 ENTIRE KEY CUT
1 VALET KEY CUT
3 Key immoblizer programming

All locks in the car will need to be repinned:
1. DOOR
2. GLOVEBOX
3. SKI PASSTHROUGH

Costs:
110 for keys
60 for programming
100+ for repinning of locks
TOTAL 270

With the repinned locks the person with that key should not be able to open the car via lock.
With TWO new remotes, the old ones will be erased, but there is a possiblility it won't since this is how the remote system works:

It remembers 3 remotes, so you had 2 orignal remotes. Then when you program the 3rd one (1 new one) it won't erase anything. Then when you program the 4th one (2nd new one) it will erase the first key stored in memory. the issue is that the second key will remembered. What will need to be done is the orignal key you have will need to be programed to delete the second key.
