Keyless Memory

Does anyone now how to link the the remote?. The MID says cannot customize settings remote not linked. Manual was no help and dealer is closed today.Not sure why it got unlinked.............Also lost my XM presets twice not sure why either........05 Tl 6250 miles Thanks

Press the LOCK and UNLOCK buttons on the remote at the same time. The LED will blink twice to show it is unlinked. To link, repeat this procedure. The LED will stay on for 1 second to indicate the feature has been turned on.

This info is from the owner's manual, page 86 (of the 2004 manual), RECALLING A MEMORIZED DRIVING POSITION.

Not sure about the XM settings, but unlinking may have something to do with it.

Check you MID outdoor temp display, if it reads "---" then you have suffered the loss of memory for seat memory/mirrors/radio presets. Mine has done this 3 times but has returned to normal within a couple hors each time.

The thread here shows how to remove fuse #7, more than likely this is a S/W or firmware problem since pulling the fuse seems to instantly correct this.

My outdoor temp has displayed that many times and not lost the settings. I don't think having a blank temp display is a definite indicator of that.
