thinking about stitching initials to headrest.

yeah i wanna put my initials "MB20" on both of my headrest, but not exactly sure how it works. are embroiding companies able to stitch it on directly without taking apart the headrest??
to be on the safe side, i was planning on buying 2 separate headrest as a spare just incase they mess up. anyone know how much they cost at the dealer?
i got this idea from Chris Paul of wake forest, just before he got drafted to NBA he bought a hooked up 7 series bmw with the initials "CP3" on the head rest. looked pretty hot.

i've seen a lot of stitching on headrests, just bring them to professionals and the spare ones is a good idea, i think they have to remove the leather in order to stick it under the machine
just my opinion, but doing anything to imitate an NBA player is kinda silly. I can't think of anything that might be more silly (and self-absorbed) than doing that other than putting a giant sticker on the back window with your name on it.
To answer your question, any good interior shop can do this pretty easily, but I'd draw out whatever I wanted on a piece of paper first.

The driver's seat back has had heat in 04 and 05. but the passenger's seat still doesn't have heat. It is because of the sensors for the air bags in the passengers seat back, and I think also because of the current draw.

It will be easier to have the headrest done if they are taken apart. If it were me, I would do the center of the top panel of the seat back not the headrests. I think it looks more balanced and won't get as dirty as if it was on the headrest. I'd also just do something generic like TL or Acura. Doing initials like "MB20" does not mean anything to anyone except you. If you are a ball player and the 20 is your number you might think of using the team or league crest. Some Corvettes have the double checkered flag embroidered and it looks very neat.
My wife thinks they use a felt backing when embroidering on leather which would mean taking the headrest apart. She says the felt does not stretch and that you can't embroider on something that will stretch because the embroidery will wrinkle or bunch up. The felt holds the thread in place.
I've seen a computerized embroidering machine take a pattern from Corel Draw and automatically transfer it to a sweat shirt. Very cool.
This brings up a question. Can one embroider on perforated leather?

My boy had his done and he sent out the headrests wrapped up in a box to a company in Cali. I don't know the name but if you want I can find out. Altogether, he said it was around $250 shipped..
