keyless ignition on 06 TL

i now have a keyless ignition on my 06 TL...there is a proxy reader behind the dash...i swipe a key tag by it and it activates the ignition (like turning the key to the 2 position)...then i push a button and the car starts...no need for a key anymore...there is a guy in town that did this for me, so i can't give you guys very many details...but this was definetly worth the investment...

I'd like to hear more about this as well please. I drove a new Caddy STS for a while and it had the same thing - only it was from the factory. Kind of cool to just get in the car and go. Also, my 4 pounds of keys weren't hanging from the ignition rattling around while I was driving lol!

it would be nice to have this feature but only if it came stock with the car. i would never waste my money on this kind of upgrade.

i would do this mod under one condition...it's that you can only push start with the master key in your pocket or within the redious of 100cm from the main mod, other wise just like ayethetiense said above; people can just push start the car and leave...

i will post pics on monday (my company has a digital camera i can use)...you have to swipe the keytag within 2 inches of the proxy reader behind the dashboard to activate the ignition...so not only do you have to have the keytag, but you have to know where it is...you get in any just push the button, the starter will turn over, but not start the car...the price was $500.00...you can also still use the key, so that i don't have to tell anybody else how to use this...as for the steering wheel lock...that is simply a spring that he took off...any other questions

and for all you people who called bs...i lost my right arm 4 yeards ago in a car wreck and wanted to find a way to start the car without a key...any other non-believers can kiss my ass...just trying to provide useful info, not waste my time.

Well the guy posts up a mod and not 30 hours later guys are jumping all over him saying he's full of shit because he hasnt responded yet and met all their demands?? You guys or gals ever think that other people have better things to do with their time than scrounge the forums all day long hitting the refresh button over and over looking for a new post to piss all over?? Give the guy a break and wait til he has time to put up the pics or your gonna ruin it for the rest of us who are trying to take something from this forum and learn something new. I for one would like to see pics.

He should've started his post by saying "I lost my arm 4 years ago and this is what I did to my TL..." and with any mods, he should've waited for the pics.

Could've avoided a lot of negative responses.

Go to Photobucket and register for a free account. Upload the pictures from your computer onto it and then follow the directions. Its pretty self-explanatory. Hurry up please.

Maybe I'm blind, but I don't see the push button?
Sorry, I miss read the title. I guess push button came to mind when I saw keyless ignition.

i use the factory remote for the door locks. the keytag (or wand) is swiped by the reader behind the dash to activat the ignition. then you press the button (placed on the blank panel next to the vsa) and the car starts. to turn the car off, just swipe the key tag by the spot on the dash. the factory key can still be used so that i don't have to teach every single person that drives the car how to use it. i live in greenville, nc. solar creations, inc. did the install. he charged me $500.00. i hope this answers all the questions, but if not just let me know. and by the way my wife took the pics while i was driving.
