I am very happy with my Kaixen 6000k - a bit whiter and bluer than stock, which helps pick out road signs, lane markings and the stripes on semi trucks.
Use in rain and fog- so far so good!

Mmmmmm, i'm thinking of 6000K too.
is D2C the same as D2S?

05 TL's are D2S no? I see vendors selling them as D2C

Same here. Is it as simple as plug and play? I've been wanting to switch out my bulbs, at least my fogs, for some nice bright white or blue light but I don't know which bulbs to buy nor do I know if it's just that simple to switch them out.

Yep, should be plug and play.. a member here informed me that D2C's are the replacement for D2S.. to remove the stock bulb you should pull straight out and to replace, push the new bulb straight in without twisting or turning to avoid cracking.

My fogs are Hoen endurance, all weather fogs which are yellow as hell (you can see it in my avatar). I think the combination of 6000K with my yellow fogs (prob 3000K) will be perfect for night driving and foggy weather.

I'll let you guys know how the install and final product turns out with pics

I highly recommand Kaixen.

McCulloch is honestly a cheap company.

and I consider Kaixen as quality of PIAA level.

I was in the market of HID kits a year ago, not knowing about Kaixen company, i didn't even consider thinking about their product.

Yet, Kaixen being Korean company i'm also Korean, i was able to check out their website (thru korean yahoo).

Their company is not a small business, yet it is a research/technology institute of HID and other automobile lighting system.

http://www.kaixenkits.com/
this is an american website for Kaixen.

In fact, there are Kaixen HID clubs and forums existing in Korea.

I'm no seller of Kaixen and supporter of Kaixen, I actually use a JDM HID bulb and a stock Phillips bulb on my 06 TSX.

if i decide to buy my next pair of HID bulb, it will be Kaixen.

there are threads describing the bulb replacement- its fairly easy- does require a special $3 torx #20 security bit/screwdriver or you can use a dremel to make 2 screws into a flatblade. Because they are $200 each bulb at the dealer- they are protected from the casual thief
Its remove some stuff in the way- like the overflow coolant bottle- and go for it.
Do not do replacement within several hours of using the headlights as their parts store voltage for a long time- ready to restart the headlights on demand
Wait till cooled overnight for safety.

3000K Yellow is THE color for fog, cuts glareback- thats what you want, and to light up the left lane marker line for guidance

I picked up a set of Philips Ultinon 6000K for $150 and they look amazing. For the fogs, I got a set of the PIAA Plasma Ion 3000K (yellow) and the two together are a great combination.

I now have over 100 hours of ~burn in time~ on my Kaixens 6000k and couldnt be happier!
Will get some pics of road markings and trucks now that they are stabilized, be assured they blow away the OE lights. Technology has come a long way in the last several years, and as noted above- Kaixen is THE research facilty for lighting- you are going to the source!!!

I tend to agree. On my other car, McCulloch made a HID kit that was pretty popular at the time. Unlike other forum members at the time, I paid a little more and got the PIAA kit instead. After about a year, everybody that bought the McCUlloch kit started complaining that either the ballasts were a POS or the bulbs were a POS... My PIAA kit worked fine for 7 years, and is still going strong.

So are my daytime running lights in Canada the same as your fog lights in the US?

Because when my lights are off I just have my DRL's on, and when I turn the headlights on the DRL's turn off and just the HID's are on...

Is there a way I can have it so that when my HID's are on I can switch the DRL's (fog's) on / off?? that would be nice because HID's alone are brutal in snow and fog.
Thanks.

I think I've seen a DIY on here but that's for the opposite, to turn fogs into DRL's

How hard is it to install fogs? Same procedure as the turn signals or does it take more effort(ie. take off the front bumper)?

fog light bulb replacement? lol it's a 10 minute procedure. remove the covers near the headlight assy. remove the intake tube, and your hand can reach the fog lights.. pull em out, and put the new ones in.
