I notice there are two part numbers for the K&N Oil Filter
2004 = HP-1004
2005 to 2007 = HP-1010
My question is can I use the HP-1010 on my 2004 TL or should I stick with the
smaller Filter HP-1004......Thanks in advance.

 

If they are anything like mobil-1's numbers, M110 is the smaller filter, and M104 is the larger. I would use the larger filter just because there is more filter medium inside. Both filters will work on the car...

 

I noticed this a few weeks ago, and sent an e-mail to K&N. They said both would work, but the 1010 will supercede, and eventually replace the 1004.
