Just what I always wanted...
To shovel snow all day on my day off. At least I can start day drinking and have a valid excuse when they call me to come into work.
Stay safe out there everyone dealing with this storm!

-I hate how i gotta switch my super sticky sports tires with my gorgeous black rims for the crappy winter ones
-i hate how much more often i have to wash my car and the fact that i cant do it myself as often as id like to due to the cold.
-i hate driving through these salt filled streets as it all corrodes my paint.
-i hate wasting all that extra time in the morning cleaning snow off my car.
-i hate shovelling the driveway more than ever now that i have this shoulder injury that makes this process that much more painful & harder.
-I hate putting my snow-filled shoes on my clean floor mats.
-i hate cold starts & the fact that i have to baby the car so much for the first few minutes because i have turbos.
-i hate how much more cautious i have to be of mine as well as everyone elses driving on these slippery roads
-i hate the extra gas burn because the oil takes that much longer to warm up
...and the list goes on and on and on. I didnt hate snow this much when i was younger and didnt have a car but now that i do just thinking of snow ruins my day.
rant over.

Love the snow, otherwise I would be miserable 25% of the year!!lol
When you live in a part of the US that has a winter, and you hate snow, you will be miserable AT LEAST 25% of the year (on top of all the other things!!) I prepare for it, practice in it, and love the challenge!! I grew up learning snow in the hills of upstate NY driving 70's station wagons and VW Beetles in the snow. Now I have 2 AWD vehicles (the TL SH-AWD and a Ford Sport Trac AWD), and I have Blizzak's on the Ford, and Continental DWS 06's on the TL. When I hear "why didn't the Government prepare our roads better" I would reply "what did you do to prepare your car and your abilities"? People need to get off the dependency "crack" that is having the Government solve all your problems, and take care of the problems yourself to the maximum extent possible.
The snow and ice must be inland- by the coast, we had rain yesterday and windy/ cold today but no snow or ice. I'm here now until tomorrow night (can't get home until ACY is cleared of snow). Driving in snow actually never bothered me, as long as no one else is on the road. It's the others on the road that require your vigilance
Not me or my house...lol at title

This shlt is ridiculous. A constant reminder of 1996 when I had to walk about a mile, to get a ride to get to work.
Philly in the hizzouse
When I got up this morning, my roof was clean, but the snow drift between the cars (her Accord coupe is on the other side of the slab porch) was above my knees. And this was about 9am, it didn't stop here (Morgantown Pa) until about 9pm. I just spent 2 more hours shoveling just to be able to park the cars instead of parking the neighbors in.
I remember blizzard of 96, had a talk with my dad about it today. Just the 2 of us in the country and unprepared. We built igloos and tunnels and shoveled less than half the 220 foot driveway, cuz I was 9, eff that noise lol.

Now, my TL and her Accord EX-L, both have winter wheels with General Altimax Artics, and I love them, especially for the price. Before I go into work tomorrow, I'm going to thoroughly warm up my car and leave at least 45 minutes early. I believe I can cover those 8 miles Within that time frame.

Meh. A couple of feet of snow is child's play when you're used to dealing with upstate NY lake effect. I remember the February '07 storm when Redfield got 141 inches over a ten day period. A normal Tug Hill winter sees around 230 inches. We went up there snowmobiling and it was beyond surreal.
