just wanted to share...and get your thoughts..

finally picking my NBP 6MT on Monday. Wheels are in; LEDs for dome are in; eibach springs coming Monday; Comptech RSB coming on Tuesday;

so now...
1. should I go with 235/40/18 tires on 18x8 with 38 mm offeset or 245/40/18?
2. where in NJ can I get signals cleared?
3. michelin pilot sports ps2 or pilot sports a/s?

Congrats on the new car!

1. I would go with 235/40/18 to keep the speedo accurate.
2. I can't tell you that - but I remember reading that the only guy was in cali - that was a while ago though.
3. Both are great - but you will have to change to winter tires if you use the ps2. Check out the tires section - there is a poll on all season tires which I just revived.

I would go with the 245/40/18. Gives you a little bit more contact patch, a slightly taller sidewall and the speedo error is neglible.

I checked on the speedo error - and you are right it is only about 3mph that it will be off. I thought it was more than that.

I seem to remember that the navigation system hidden menu has a tire size adjustment.

Good question. I know if there is navi you can calibrate based on tire size - but I believe those settings are ONLY for the navi to calculate the distance you have travelled (say in a tunnel) and you have lost the ability for the navi to get an accurate reading from a GPS satellite. - not for the speedo.

So I am not sure - maybe somebody else knows.

What are the best high performance all season tires for this car. I doubt my dad will go above 100 but I want it to be an option . How about the Hydroedge?

www.tirerack.com will give you ratings based on what people have said about the tires.
