not armenian, not chinese, the guys that run f1's shop are thai. look at the newspaper next to the toilet i've used f1 and they are a good shop and have been around forever. i've seen some of the body kit and custom sound system work they've done on ferrari's, porsches and bentley's and it looked top notch.

chances are what happened is that one of their workers hammered the fenders in and isn't very good at it. hammers are a legit way to roll fenders...if you know what you are doing and it's 1985. not like i've done it, but i would assume that using a roller is 10x easier. the guys i've met there are pretty nice, i'm not sure what they're gonna do to fix it but i'm sure it's gonna be something. i wouldn't recommend going in there and screaming your head off

I'd like to see the guy's face that has his Ferrari on the rack there when they pull out the hammer.

Cut the fenders and be done with it. You'll still have to sand/smooth/touch up the cut edge, but that's better than cracking paint on the outside from improper rolling. Cutting the fenders seems to be the consensus on most car sites.

^^Cutting is too much work and more trouble than it is worth. That's is definitely the hard way to do it. I had my car in college done that way. No advantage at all, just more work! Using the roller makes complete sense!

Wink For those that are unclear about fender rolling

I know most on AZ know the purpose of rolling fenders but if you don't, here's a quick explaination ... it is not an aesthetic mod, it's a practical mod for wheel/tire clearance issues on lowered cars ... it does not change the exterior appearance of the vehicle at all. Here's a link to a fender roller from Eastwood and there's a YouTube video on there that explains and shows what rolling fenders accomplishes ... if you're interested

Have you been to F1? Do you know the difference b/w people and cultures? Apparently you don't. So don't make any assumptions. Next time think hard before you write an idiotic post.

I had a strange problem - only rubbing on my left front tire - it would very slightly cut the tire - that added up over a year and i needed to replace the tire every year.

F1 did a good job - they rolled my fender - that took away some of the fender, it doesn't cut the tire anymore. I don't know if they used a machine or a hammer or what - i didn't watch them.

Update:

to the guys waiting for pics: its hard to take pics under there without taking my wheels off. I was in lazy mode these last couple weeks so i didnt do it hehe.
Update: I went back to F1 and they said they were gonna flatten the surface, sand and paint it over. Im afraid they will damage the outside paint trying to even it out but i have no other option but to accept their offer cuz they wont offer anything else.
What pisses me off the most is that the owner was really shady about all this. He didnt want to admit fault for a long ass time. He says paint ALWAYS cracks when rolling fenders (BULL). While we were talking i noticed his slammed 335 had really wide 19' wheels i checked his fender and it was rolled perfectly. He says he used a hammer in his car too but that his bimmer paint is way better than mine...
Im going in again next week after it stops raining to get it fixed. Wish me luck
