Just picked up an '04 TL

Been searching for a 6-speed TL for a while but all the low mileage i found were out of my price range. This past weekend i found a low mileage '04 with rebuilt title and it all checked out. I've had good luck with a previous rebuilt title car and figured i take another chance....I drove 4hr+ to get her and my avg mpg. was 32 for the 300 mile ride home.

Planning on adding a-spec suspension and wheels will follow soon after.

36k miles....paid 11k

I know it needs (1) 02 sensor and had an issue with door not opening from the inside.

Thanks to this great site, i found the link to removing door panel and looks like the door cable was not hooked up correctly but all fixed now. Was a little worried about removing door panel but it was cake and took me less then 10 min from start to finish.

How do you know it needs an 02 sensor? 36k seems a little early to be replacing that...I have an 04 w/70k and i have not replaced mine. Was I supposed to do that? oops

Not a bad deal but it was salvage. keep us updated on the car as we all know sometime you dont know what you get with a previous salvage tittle even if in the begining it's all good. Welcome to AZINE.

****UPDATE***

well its been a little over three years and TL is still going strong. I drove it for like a year and then sold it to my brother who has driven it all over the country. It now has 72k miles and still runs like new...I knew i took a chance when i bought it (flood title) but its been a great car.

type-s is my car now
