Hi all,
I have been eyeing the Type S ever since it was released last fall. After months of reading these forums and drooling over other member's rides, I have finally decided to take the plunge and am trading in my 05 non navi NHB TL and for a new NHB auto type S. I am very excited and I will be picking up my ride next week. I love this forum and will contribute by snapping some pics next week.

A couple of questions for my fellow Type Sers.

1) I have the infamous dash fade on my 05, has that been a issue on your
Type S?
2) To Body Kit or Not. I am torn. In some pics and angles I have seen here, the bodykit looks great, in other pics, it looks a little tacked on. Does it look better in person then in pics?
3) Is the type S stock lower then the regular 07 type S? In pics, I can't tell a difference. Thanks!

Opps, the last question I meant regular 07 tl.

 

I have had an 07 ASM TL-S since Dec. 14, 06. I don't notice any dash fade. I wasn't going to get the A-Spec body kit. But I changed my mind. I LOVE the body kit on the 04-06. I had it put on a week ago and am very happy I did. I think it looks great. If you look straight at the front compared to the 04-06 version, its a little overdone. But still looks good. Any other angle looks great! I don't think its any lower than my 06 TL. BUT it rides quite a bit firmer. I don't mind that, it handles great for FWD. TO ME the diff from 06 TL and 07 TL-S is quite large. I didn't mind taking it in the A$$ on my trade as much. ENJOY !!!

2. I think the body kit is a bit too much for the car, stock looks great...I'm sure there are others that think the otherwise, this is just my opinion
3. I don't believe it's any lower

Congrats on the new car!!! and excellent color choice, but I can see you were smart enough to pick it the first time around
By the way it is NBP (Nighthawk Black Pearl) not NHB

Check out the threads I have started, I was the first on the scene with the NBP Type-S, first to do pretty much every mod I have done (to my knowledge) and I documented it a lot on here witha lot of pics and stuff.
