i'm picking up my new 06 tl on tuesday. anthracite/black leather. i paid $28,800. i'm gonna wait for the 07 tl-s parts to arrive to make some mods. i would like to get the tail lights and spoiler. when summer comes i'll get some 19inch wheels.

enigmaos, you have those upgrades already? wow! send some pics. if you don't mind me asking? where did you get your stuff. how many led's did you do? and most important, how much did you pay? the reason i got my acura for that much was cause i knew the salesman. that was the bottom price. plus there were only two left. wanted to get the 07 but for 4k more it wasnt woth it for me. i'll post pics next week.

very nice. i think i'm gonna go with that set up too. is the 9led bright enough? some one on here was talking about the 12led. was hard to install the led's on your car? when are you gonna put up some pics? by the way, where do you recommend i get a rear lip deck spoiler? thanks.

 

I forgot to mention that my interior package includes vanity lights (9LED x 2), so pretty much all the interior lights are LED now.

well, the white 9LEDs from tec-toyz have purplish tint. I like the softness and soothingness of the lights.

I have never seen 12LEDs in person, but in pictures. there is a thread with pics comparing the two side by side.

as for installation, it just takes time the very first time. just make sure you have tools and time. of course, read the DIYs and manual (trunk lid liner removal). they aren't that hard to follow. there are pics in the DIYs.

as far as I know, there are two types of rear lip spoiler - OEM or ebay. there are posts comparing the two also.

ah, yes, yes. 07 Type-S lip. but I think drilling is required for type-s'.

thanks for the link. i'm thinking about getting the regular lip for the 06. i don't think there is a difference. plus i don't want to drill. do you recommend where to get this lip for the best price?

 

if you buy any oem spoiler, the 04-06 decklid or the 07 it still involves drilling. The spoilers off ebay mount with only tape.

 

does anyone have that spoiler. the one using double sided tape? does the paint match? and do they look authentic?

You can get the TL-S 07 lip spoiler for $104.00 OEM Acura dealer........

 

In my opinion the TL looks best without the mods i.e. spoiler, tail lights, wheel, etc. The stock looks very solid and very classy. I think the stock wheels on the '06 looks awesome.

But things like adding supercharger would be cool. Make that baby sleeper..... ehehe

 

i think by adding the tl-s tails made my car looker different. sill oem parts. i'm not into after market parts too much, except for wheels.
