TLs are great in the winter. You just have to granny the gas when you're going from a stop or you'll spin the tires. Granted last year was my first winter with the TL and we had a pretty mild winter in Indiana. But we still had some bad days and my tires were pretty bald. Didn't have any issues.
On a side note, I'm on vacation visiting St. Petersburg Florida and their "freezing" weather was 65 degrees today. It's about 20 degrees back home. Another observation... Florida drivers are TERRIBLE. They drive slow as hell and surprisingly have no regard for pedestrians whatsoever. If you make it a point to cross only at crosswalks when you have the walk signal you still have about 50% chance of somebody almost running into you before slamming on the breaks. Get it together FL! I guess that's why insurance rates are higher here. Is it all the old people or what? My girlfriend almost got run over yesterday by a Fire Department chief in an SUV when she had the cross signal. Haha this place is crazy and its only been 10 days. I'd take driving in Indiana with sleet and snow over driving in Florida in the sunshine any day. From a safety perspective that is.

this is the main reason we moved from PA south. I did love having snow on Christmas which arrived during my visit with family and friends last year. It did snow here yesterday morning which is a rarity. I do not miss driving to work during snowstorms but I dealt with it. Just hoped a truck or car did not get stuck on the hills I traveled on.

i'm a warm weather critter. if there was a way to hibernate during winter to minimze how much i cuss about hating the cold, i would. I generally HATE being cold. I can tolerate being hot.
generally, east coasters that have always had seasons...love their seasons ALL 4 of them. i'm a west coaster on the east coast...keep your seasons...i'm happy with a season and a half like slo cal. yes the snow is pretty and all when it falls. that's where it all ends. shoveling the snow, cleaning the car off, driving in it, salt on the roads, stressing over whether it'll ice over and turn into black ice...get enough snow and you end up getting stuck at home when you should be at work making money. it's more annoying than it's worth. if winter drags on...ugh...
there are plenty of people that love cold weather and snow. i could live without it.

I would typically be a warm weather kinda person myself, but I have found that having 4 REAL seasons is kind of cool. For example here in Chicago into august and september I start to get bored of hot weather and sometimes cant wait for the cooler weather and some snow here and there. Then same thing in the winter, all the cold weather and snow and shit get old, then back to the warmer weather.
So like most people, if I had to choose I would take hot over cold, but one thing I cant stand is when its hot and humid as heck. You cant do anything outside without becoming drenched in your own sweat. Hate that, then you gotta shower after doing anything.
