just a little worried

Today I was cleaning the inside of my car when I found a black screw with a washer by the brake pedal. Just wanted to know if anyone had this happen to them.

I have found a few small pieces laying around. It usually means that the person putting the car together dropped it and was too lazy to look for it so he just put another one in.

A black screw with a washer is probably not critical. If it bothers you, check with the mechanic at the dealer who has the most experience under the dash and see what he thinks it might be.

...wonder if that would've happened if it were made in Japan.
