Talking Just got TL

I just got my TL a few days ago for about 33,000 after taxes and thats WITH navigation!! I am so happy. Though I just registered, I have been long a viewer of the posts here and as for the thread about the tires EL42, I was at the dealership and when I asked about the tires and vibration, they opted to switch the tires for $50 for the Pilot Sport tires and that includes hunter road force balancing and they also got rid of my old EL42s. They told me that ACS is starting to tell the dealers to inform their customers who recently (ask dealers to define "recent") bought their TL about the tires and vibration so they can easily exchange it for something better. Though I have never experienced the vibrations, the new tires offer me a smooth ride that I expected.

I am not sure who else Acura choose to inform, but definently the dealers around Southern California should be taking action as thats what I've been told. My dealer actually called me a few times to make sure everything is going well in the last week and sent me flowers. Nice people. ACS is no longer avoiding the problem.

Congrats! Hopefully this trend of the dealer switching out the EL42's will continue!

Congrats on the new ride! Question though, you stated that you paid about 33K after taxes with Nav. This sounds way too low for reality. Please share your story with us on this Forum. There are a few lurking here that have not pulled the trigger yet and would appreciate knowing the details. After all, your price would be below invoice considering you stated after taxes. Incredible deal I must say

very good MasterTL. Which dealer did you purchase from and what color combo? Thanks for the heads up on the tires!

yes please let us know. I just put a deposit for an Anthracite w/ Navi yesterday for $34 and felt like I got a good deal. It would be great if I could hit my target price of $33.8k some how. So any sort of info would be helpful!
Oh and on a side note, stay away from Keyes ACura. They are pricks over there and just want to play games. I walked on them yesterday, and two different salesman from there have been calling me non-stop to get me to come back. Even called me this morning and woke me up! :smackhead
When I told them about this forum, the sales manager said that people on here were probably making up lower numbers so as to deflate the market. What kind of stupid answer is that! Some he's saying potential buyers are coming on here posting they got it for cheap prices so when they goto the dealership they can say that other people are paying X amount. Hahaha :thefinger David Mills! Ok sorry, i just had a terrible experience at Keyes Acura and had to share.

I got mine from Acura of Pasadena. Part of the reason was because my parents knew the owner but before I knew that they were friends, I was asking around for quotes and Acura of Pasadena still gave me the lowest quote of all. Here is the comparison

Before knowing: 31500 (with navigation and destination charge)
After knowing: 30000 (with navigation)

I am not exactly sure why AoP was giving such lower prices because as I was at the dealership, there was not many TLs there...just about 2 left and one had no navigation. In any case, for the Keyes Acura dealership, i TOTALLY agree. I was there a few months ago (yes I was anticipating the TL for many many months) and they would call me, email me, text me NON-STOP. Thomas Acura kept emailing me too

I am not economics pro but for the market to actually deflate, I think the other dealers must actually lower their prices as well. If poeple are posting and no dealers are lowering then no market deflation.

Here is some potentially good news, I think the reason they are lowering their prices is possibly because of the arrival of the new TLs. I read the thread about when its possibly coming out (oct-nov?) and they are trying to get rid of the 04 TLs so there would not be any competition. Maybe I am wrong, but AoP has always given me lower prices (My parents bought an MDX there for about 1k less than any other dealers).

I dont wish to get anyone's hopes up but I think if I can scan the invoice from AoP, you guys can use that as a buying tool. But as of right now, my mom is in Japan going to China on business (I am only 17 lol) and my dad has absolutly no idea where it is. As soon as she comes back or when I get in contact with her, I will scan the invoice with the price.

Awsome, Hopefully you can get the invoice scanned before Sierra calls me to go pickup the car. Also, who did you deal with at Pasadena. I also went there yesterday but our saleman Frank was not in so the other salesman were not willing to deal with us and just told us to come back when he was in.

I went to Sierra as well. But they had the exact car I wanted and as I was looking at it, they sold it to someone else. Kinda sad. Sorry but I do not know the salesman as I was at school and my parents did everything

MasterTL:

If you got a NAVI model for 30,000. Correct me if I/m wrong but isnt that UNDER dealer invoice. I doubt any dealer would lose money on a new TL sale. I believe invoice is about 32k sumthing, minus the dealer holdback and u still are over 30K! Maybe the owner was willing to lose money beacuse of the friendship??

It is under. I believe that is the retail price? I have no idea. But the person we got the TL from was indeed a good friend. Like I said, even before, they quoted me for 31k but I do not know why. If you look at an earlier post, you will see my theories but I have always been bad at guessing.
