Just got side swiped!
Just cruising on the way to work, not running late, nice sunny day. This lady driving a Toyota in front of me puts on her left turn signal, is half way through her left turn then desides to turn right...right into ME! She got my driver door, driver side back door, driver side rear 1/4 panel, side skirt & rear drive side wheel! Then she tells the police she was going right all along & that I was trying to squeeze by her...on the right?! Even IF i was in a hurry wouldn't I pass her around the left IF her story was true?! She also got out of her car & said "sorry I thought I put my right turn signal on" when she was all flustered, proving its her fault. Now of course the insurance will most likely try to blame me instead of an elderly lady. Pics below are a little blurry. So pissed that my car looks like this now & that I have to deal with this crap!

I feel really sorry for you man, but don't worry...there is no reasonable way they can put this on you. It's like when I was hit on the side of my car, the lady t-boned my side door (although it was really light, so t-bone is a little harsh), and blamed it on me. Witnesses all saw she ran into and told the police that, also, I told the cops one thing, how can I hit the lady's front bumper with the side of my car?

Any witnesses to corroborate your story? That way, you'd avoid a "he said/she said" situation.
Sorry to see that this has happened to your car.

Damn that's one nasty mark on the car...but like you said, it's her fault. Even if you were trying to squeeze in, she still has to make sure it's safe before she changes lanes.

Dammit man.....Since you had to go to the PD and file a report, did you at least call your insurance company to give them the old ladie's info? I'd make sure your insurance company know's she has a mild case of "old timers."

glad that your okay. I almost got side swiped the other day, after picking up my loaner car from the dealership. the lady that almost hit me, did the samething, but she caught it before she hit me. hopefully it won't take that long to get your ride back. mine took almost a month to get back.

Looks a lot like when a garbage truck pulled out from the gutter and into me. I was almost completely past him and I was watching fo a blinker. Out of the corner of my eye I caught his bumper swerve out. I swerved over as far as I could without going head on with anyone. Mine looked just like yours except his front bumper nearly tore the door skin off and dug into the rear quarter panel pretty bad. I was worried it was going to be totaled. From the looks of yours it will be good as new in no time.
Beyond giving them your side of the story and letting them investigate there's not a lot you can do. I proved that it was not my fault and Geico basically said oh well it's not worth fighting so I had a not a fault but had to pay the deductable.

wow, you can clearly see from the damage that it was the other persons fault. I mean, it looks like you where just about to pass her and BAM! you get hit from the rear drivers side. I think this is a open-shut case watson!
