Just Drove The Tl-s...omg!!!

I brought my car into the Acura dealership to get an an oil change and was talking to the salesman I bought my car from, who I've gotten to know a little bit. We were talking and I asked him if we can take the TL-S out for a ride while my car is getting the oil changed. He came out with the keys and pulled it up and said here you go, be nice to 'er. It was a manual and it was fast. Much quicker than my 2007 TL base (automatic). The shifting is super smooth and nice feel to the clutch. That's all...just wanted to put my in on the TL-S.

The TL-S is quick. I have a 06 Manual and a friend of mine just got a 07 TL-S Manual. So the first time that she showed up with the new car I pulled out the "I let you drive mine so now you have to let me drive yours" and boy that thing has just a lil more pull than mine. I would be bothered by the fact that a female friend of mine has a quicker car than I do, if it weren't for that fact that she can't drive it well. So I still win, for now .

Nothing more fun than flushing $3000 down the toilet.

Get what you want in life. If cars are your thing, its not flushing $$$ down the toilet. Its getting what you want. Some people golf all the time, Bowling leagues, etc. What ever you spend YOUR MONEY on is your personal business. I know many people who have gotten DUI's. Spending $5-6k. Now thats throwing money away. Or drugs, alcohol, etc.

Practice makes perfect. Before long, you might be whiffing her exhaust.

i think the exhaust note and the suspension make the car alot more fun to rip into, not just the added power...

I just drove the new type-s myself, to work originally went to the dealer to get a tl-p (hated the type-s red lighting/rims) The dealer/my girl made me test a tl-s after the tl-p. after one 10min drive i put down on the tl-s. 1300 miles later I still couldn't be happier.............

Yea I know. Especially that I keep yelling at her when she rides the clutch. But oh well when that time comes I will just have to get a SC .

Unless you have to factor in other variables when you got your AT TL, you should at least give the MT a test drive if you prefer 6MT Type-S. I would get the MT myself but my wife doesn't want to learn MT (or you can say I don't want to teach her on the new Type-S MT) ...

Try not to teach your wife how to drive a stick shift on your new car. It can be a bad idea.

I bought my car Nov 30, 2006 and the dealership didn't have the TL-S, so between the dealership not having one on the lot and the fact that the TL-S would cost me another $3000-$4000, I figured the TL base would be just fine for me.

As far as trading in...probably not gonna happen. I would love to have the TL-S, but I don't like the idea of paying all that tax again and the extra $ to step up to the TL-S. Also, my wife and I are in house upgrade mode...so trading up really isn't an option.
