Wassup guys, I just wanted to say hello to everyone. I traded in my 04 tsx for a new nighthawk black TL/no navi/ebony interior with oem kit and chrome oem wheels. I LUV IT!!
You guys are the experts on the TL so I wanted to ask you guys a couple of questions. First, my dealership threw in a "protection package" for free that I guess protects the exterior and interior.

1)Is it really worth it? I heard that they could do more damage then good.

2) What do they use to "protect" my car's exterior and interior?

For most TL's, 'Protection Package' =

Trunk tray
Mud Flaps
? All-Season Floor Mats
? Wheel Locks

Could mean that spray on crap for the exterior and seats = not worth it, we need more information. How much did you pay?

the protection package is basically what mr1 has listed. if the dealer offers any special paint protection don't take it. its a ripoff, nothing more than some off the shelf sealant.

 

Yea, don't get their paint protection. For what you'll pay, you can get aftermarket products that will do the same thing. Check the Wash N Wax fforum for more info and also check the 3G Garage.

 

Yeah, my dealer threw in the protection package (spray on crap), too. I wouldn't have paid for it, but since it was free, why not? Unless you do something drastic to the leather, you'll probably never use it. However, if your floor mats are crap in four years, get some new ones on Acura just before the timeframe expires.
