Might be a weird question to ask, but has anyone ever gone to a junkyard, where its a 'pull-a-part', to see if there was anything salvagable off any TLs in the graveyard?

I use to hit up the junkyards for parts for my Jeep. Of course there were alot more Jeeps in the junkyard and the parts were def cheaper.

Anyone else have success doing this for TL?

 

I honestly can't find any 3G TLs near me, some 2Gs

 

lucky... i've been to at least 15 pull-a-part's and never even seen a 2G..

these cars are just too young to be in there IMO. most places that get nice cars part them out online or sell the whole wreck to an individual.

 

Yeah, thats what i figured. I guess it depends on your location as well. Probably wont know till you go.

 

not sure if you have a LKQ around you but we do a lot of communication business with them and i have seen PLENTY of 2g 3g TL's and a couple TSX's... matter of fact i got a full navi unit from one to do in my 04 TL that i had and never got around to.

 

the only parts i could find was on a website. www.carpart.com

 

there are 2 TL-s and one base at a part yard near me. But they don't wanna part anything out of them, only sold as FRONT CLIP, or REAR CLIP. But I honestly don't see anyone buying all that so they are just sitting there, rotting. It pissed me off because I would but stuff of a TL-s, like headlights and tails and front sway bar and fog lights maybe. you never know what you want untill you see it. They won't even sell me the headliner. Base 06 even has a-spec kit on it, rear and sides but that's not parting out either haha

 

Yeah, i feel like you have a select idea of some misc things that you could pull off in your head, but untill you go i am sure you will come across alot more!

I bet you in a couple years once they realize they cant get anything for it they will part it out. At least thats how the 2Gs are looking that ive seen online.
