Curious as to what's the best part you guys ever got from junkyard tl's? Are they usually good places to get stuff? For example, what are the odds I can get a type s rear bumper to replace my base tl rear bumper for ssm.

 

^chances are you will not find what you're looking for.

junkyards are generally full of older model cars. you may get lucky and find something, but i wouldn't wait around forever for it.

i frequent my local junk yard at least once a month just to look around, and i've never even seen a 3G TL in there. maybe your area is different tho.

I have a local junk yard that houses Honda and Acura's!!
the guy is always buying torn up TL's!!!!

I've scored a radiator, brake lines. my buddy has gotten bumper plugs, and little small stuff that are missing on his TL.

I'm going back soon to score a s2k shift knob for $30.
probably buying 07 side mirrors for my buddy for christmas.

with that being said, the TL's that the junkyard buys are TOTALED. I wouldnt expect to see intact bumpers.
He does buy slightly wrecked TL's but he sells them WHOLE and he wont let us part it out.

I usually go to that junk yard when ever I FUCK something up on my TL.
I've fucked up the brake line and radiator. haha had to high tail it to the yard!!!

Only thing I ever got out of a junk yard was a sun roof for my old Maxima.

 

now i have a reason to hate you even more.

the best thing i've found at a junkyard was a headlight actuator for my old firehawk...yay.

 

I'm actually picking up front sidemarkers and an HFL unit off of a wrecked TL tonight for $70!

 

When I was in high school I ed my Integra and put a fart can on it. I got sick of it but didn't have my old muffler so found one in perfect condition for cheap at a junkard (this was like 8 years ago)

 

i got a navigation from the salvage junk yard. i was luck enough to find it=) cheap price too

check out east park auto recycling in Hyde Park NY, its a Honda/Acura junkyard, their also on ebay.
