$12K in repairs and 6.5 weeks in the shop, I finally got my car back!! The paint matches pretty well, at least so far. My camera is broken so I have no pictures to show.
I got the car repaired at Anaheim Hills Autobody. Few problems I had upon receiving the car. I need to SLAM!! the trunk in order to close it. The interior lining above the rear passenger seats was dirty. There was a crack in the rear plastic casing that houses the reverse lights. Some minor scratches on the front lip and bumper.
I did raise a concern with the trunk having to be forced closed. Their excuse was that the parts are new and need to settle...I'll have to take it back to have them look at it. They will be ordering a new plastic casing. I did not raise a stink about the other issues...I bought some interior cleaner and got rid of the dirty hand prints. The scratches in the front bumper/lip would have turned out in a back and forth argument about whether they were already there or not...At this point in time, I just need my damn car back!
I will post pictures once I get a camera.

after picking the car up it was pretty good job done except the rear seats were left dusty ass fuck bro... oh and the plastic near the kick plate on the driver seat was scratched... no biggie got acura to switch it using the 12k/1 year
glad u got ur ride back man

sorry to hear.. that's messed up.. tell them to fix your trunk and fix the paint scrapes. That's a lot of money for them not to have everything crisp and solid. Lesson learned.. pick your body shop carefully. Very unprofessional of them on all issues especially with the time involved.
The rear casing for the LP & reverse lights cost almost $200-300 if you didn't know (used on ebay for $75 maybe) and the lip..
..
Best of luck!

he has unibody damage on the rear quarter panel and the trunk is bashed. 12K is a lot.. that's almost enough to file for a total loss..

Just cut it where the damage at the quater starts, weld it and your good, allot of shops just buy another similar car and weld the rear from it.
But 12k is a used tl,
When I was buying my car, the guy had a 2007 MDX with side right side damage, the guy bought another 2007 MDX hit on the opposite side and literally cut the whole car in half and weld them together, paint and the car looks like new. The cut half looks awsome, it's chillen in the lot right now on cement blocks.

I'm actually flabbergasted that they didn't total it out.
I got rear-ended in my 05 in a similar situation and as soon as the body shop guy took a look at the buckled rear quarters and smashed in exhaust he said, "not good... this is trashed."
That rear-quarter curve contour is essentially impossible to return to stock. The force that is exerted to create that curve has to be ridiculous. Trying to get back to it is impossible.
My guess is that you have a shorter car by 1" and lots of filler.
I'm not usually so pessimistic, but seeing these pictures brought back some haunting memories.
