Japan ?
Will the new TL be shipped to Japan ? (like the previous generation, I think it was called the saber or sabre)
Honda could ship some of the non-navis accumulating on dealers lots.

Re: Japan ?
Saber... is temporarily not in their market for now... Perhaps, 05TL could be there...
Also, ppl out there are loving Navi... if we have 70/30 Non-Navi/Navi, they will have 30/70...
BTW, unfortunately, they didn't like to have left-side driver seat for this model. None of our leftover could be shipped there...

Is called Honda inspired. The saber is just lower model of the TL....don't have curise control, autofading rearview mirror and slower.
The Honda inspired which used to be the same as our TL's is still out there, but is totally different to our 04 TL's
It has the smart cruise control, no ignition key. Half of the engine shuts down while traveling at low RPM's on the highway...etc.

The Honda Inspire in Japan is the US Accord with a proper grill and a few other external touches. It even has a nice sunshade in the back.
250 hp, 3.0 I believe.

IMO, I will think Inspire is the higher model for Accord. Its interior and tail are alsmost the same as Accord.
If you called out Saber 03, you will see it's much similar to old TL. I'm not sure if Saber is the lower model for TL though.
Those new features, HiDS, new i-Vtec, CMS, HID, etc.... are just additional to "Accord". I love its new HID, excellent shape and style...

The Saber/Inspire were nearly identical. One was considered "sporty", the other "luxurious". I'm not sure which was which.
In Japan they have 3 subsets of dealers. One focuses on sporty cars, another on luxury and yet another on family cars.
I think the names are Honda Vernio, Honda Clio and another I forget.

I still think 04Inspire & 03Saber are totally different beasts.
BTW, if you go Honda website, they will display all basic models by three sub-dealers, Primo, Verno, Clio.
I will attach 03Saber pics...

It is cool to see all the varations of the different models in different countries, thanks for the pics.
I guess their marketing people decide which body styles/features will appeal to certain markets, and we must accept what they send us.

Yeah, since we're stuck with the "big" Accord, we should get the version the Phillipines gets. It has NICE foglights built in the front and a proper grill!

Why the headlight is different than the one I saw on the site? The headlight should be two layers, the top has the turning signal and beam, and the bottom has the new HID...
