It felt like I took it too far, but at the same time I thought it was just far enough....but point taken. It will not happen again, or if it does I will add least at some red font, or a :gheylaugh, or a , or maybe even a :devilgrin

I always use the curb to jack up the car or a rock

You can use 2x4's as well. Here's me changing out the flux capacitor..

i recommend throwing your wheels/tires under the car alongside the jacks. basically a second safety measure if those jackstands decide to give up.

Or Rhino ramps... Wouldn't risk bending the wheels...

Well, that shows what you know. Everyone knows the flux capacitor is located next to the primary coil reebersaken which puts it next to the engine block throtnique.

I do the same. I'll scratch the rim any day than get crushed. The good thing about the 255s on the stock rims is I can put them with the good (outside) side down and it won't scratch them. That way if the car falls chances are the rim/tire will be ok.

I had an Opel GT fall on me one time and that was painful. Luckily the engine was out and it was in the middle of my powerlifting days. But the car still weighed much more than I could bench. I had enough warning to grab on to the front crossmember and basically lock out my arms in the bench press position. My palms were bruised, my back was bruised, it felt like my chest was being ripped apart. Elbows and shoulders hurt for weeks. I could barely scream for fear of dropping it on me. Lesson learned the hard way.

I thought it was perfectly FUCKING clear. Maybe common sense is overrated.

In Mother Russia, engine block throtnique near fuel tank.

I still can't believe that picture. Besides the many other things wrong with it, those 4x4s look like they could slip at any point. And at a minimum I would want to be laying flat "just in case" even though he would probably be dead regardless.

Ramps wouldn't be a good secondary measure if stands failed?

Definately better than either alone. But both can be knocked over while a tire and rim under the car is not going anywhere.

Well you know... ignorance is its own reward. If the props slip and the truck falls.... oh well, one less idiot.
