IS350 Vs. Dodge Charger R/T Hemi

Oh man....

Guess what happened today. I ran into a late model Dodge Charger R/T Hemi. I had no intention to race as I am a gentleman.... At a stop light, going up the bridge, I gently pressed the gas on my IS350 but the car is so sensitive and powerful it had a jump on him. Was gently accelerating to about 35 mph but the driver in the Charger R/T Hemi WOT.... and went past me. I guess he thought I was racing. He tried to show me his car is tough. Big engine.. Powa... So I figured he wanted some. After next light it merges into an interstate. I turned my VSC/ Trac off. On green we both took off. Just after a few seconds I left him in the dust. By the time I hit about 90 he was about two bus length behind me. We ran into a traffic ahead and he gave up. He realized he messed with a wrong Lexus.... Nice try boy. lol..... Oh man I felt good. Damn... my IS350 is insanely quick.

Timeslips needed to verify said IS350 is "insanely quick" I've raced Chargers/300Cs at the strip and they're typically 14.1 to 14.5 second cars depending if they're RWD or AWD.

IS350s aren't insanely quick.

They are fast though.

I have raced my friends 07 R/T (340hp I think) and my 5AT TLS took it. He obviously got the jump, but after accelerating to 85-90 mph, I started pulling. Nonetheless, good kill. I really wanted an IS350 after my IS300 but they were just too expensive when I wanted to buy it.

Actually in other parts of the world, Lexus sells IS300, with a 3.0L V6 making 256hp or something like that.

I've run a Hemi Charger in my auto TL and it's a driver's race. Whoever hits the gas first is probably going to win. At the top of third I put a little distance but the shift to fourth ruined it. The IS350 is considerably quicker as I've been beaten on no less than every weekend since my friend bought his. It's no surprise the IS won but don't get too happy because you beat a mid 14 second car. A manual TL even a non TL-S should win with a good driver. From a roll, most definately.

IMO, Dodge disgraced the legendary Hemi name by making a 14 second car. The SRT-8 should've been the base model.

Gotta respect the IS350. It is a quick car and a fun ride. This one is against the Chrysler 300 SRT-8 same engine as the charger Srt 8. But in general the R/T edition from Dodge is not that fast.
