IPOD Connectivity in 08 TL-S

IPOD Connectivity in 08 TL-S

I've been reading a bunch of threads about the add-ons necessary (DICE etc.) to connect IPoDs to the TL. Most of the discussion I found is limited to 07 models.

Is the same required in an 08? Does the 08 model charge the IPOD/allow you to control it from the car's controls?

The DICE and USA spec will work on all 2004-2008 TL's

However, at least on the DICE unit, to use TEXT mode, you need to unplug XM. Unfortunatly on the 2007+ models, that is where AcuraLink comes from. So when you unplug XM, you lose AcuraLink, and all HFL functionality of your NAVI screen (the call button)... HFL still works normal everywhere else.

I think, to get to the root of what you are asking: the connectivity options for the iPod are the same for the '07 and the '08.
