An Introduction

Hi folks, yes, im flooding this board with an unoriginal introduce myself thread, but hey, I feel like I know everyone already... have been a long time lurker.

Anyhow, just bought my first TL the other day, its an 04 TL with Navi. Couldnt pass up the deal on the 04 so went with it, if it all works out, ill get me a new one in a few years.

Anyhow, I wanted to credit this board with helping me in my decision with the TL. I admire how much of a big community there is for the TL and how passionate you all are towards your cars. I can feel the love and wanted to be a part of that. For once, I was sitting in the finance office ready to sign the papers and not once have an empty feeling in my stomach saying "why the hell am I doing this". It was love at first sight, and I cant wait to see how it will grow.

Thanks folks

Banjo

Thanks for the warm welcome. I hope to have some pix as soon as it stops raining, I have yet to drive the car on a sunny dry day.

I have the 04 Anthracite Metallic Gray AT w/ Navi. Its obviously stock right now but I think ive already caught the Mod Bug, its contagious.

BTW, what is normally one of the first mods that is done to a TL once in possession?

I think I am going to start off with the tint first. It sucks though because in NC I think they have the 35% rule on the front windows and I think you can limo the rest. I will have to check.

You read my mind. I am actually going to go for a triple antenna setup. 2 Large antennas on each side of the trunk, then one of those boomerang antennas that you used to see on the back of Limo's.. I think that would look hawt!

Welcome to the Acurazine and Acura family.

2004 was a good year.

My mods are minor. Just a few appearance items. I don't believe in "gilding the lilly" as they say. It's a pretty great car just like it is.

But, I understand that some folks want to personalize it and make it their own.

That is how I am Xpditor, I'm not sure what I will do with it but who knows how far the bug will on me. I need to get the inside fixed up a bit. The Leather needs to be brought back to its original shine... any suggestions.

I've got Comptech springs and a camber kit on the shelf I'm just waiting for the Koni SP3's and the suspension will be done.

Lexol for the leather and Aerospace 303 for the other interior (plastic, etc.); the stuff just works.

I have several kinds of exotic leather treatments but my favorite is Zaino Leather-in-a-Bottle. www.zainobros.com

It keeps the leather soft and pliable and also smells like a saddle shop when you are done. I treat the leather about once every couple months and it is still like new after 4 years.
