Interior swap... possible?

So I finally found the right TL for a stupid great price, it's black but it has a tan interior (I wanted anything but tan). In short, I didn't drive it yet or see it in person (going tomorrow,) however the price is so good that for now I can overlook the tan interior (as long as everything else is good).

However it raises the question, can you convert to a black or grey interior?
I know seats and floormats and doorcards are needed, but I don't know about the dash and center console areas or the carpet itself as I haven't BEEN in the car yet... So do you guys know? Has it been done before?

Thanks!

yes... all you would need is all the carbon fiber pieces for the cubbie... and the lower tan pieces to convert to either graphite or grey/gray... you probably gonna spend a lot of dough to get it done... door panels... headliner... pilars pieces... rear deck... etc etc...

lol? Its possible but you would literally have to switch out EVERYTHING. Not worth it.

I say jump on it. At least the car is black on the outside, just throw some dark tints on it. NBP best color imo.

It'll cost you to convert all that interior, just take that money and put it toward the TL in the color combo you want.

MY TSX had a black interior, but my TL has taupe. I really miss the black. It's much harder to keep the taupe looking clean. I've considered doing a partial conversion - black mats and seat belts (the 09 TL looks like it has black belts in the tan / taupe interior). It won't really be a total conversion, but I think it might be a cool two-tone look, along with the dash that's already black on top and taupe on bottom.

its going to be pretty costly to swap out, its better you keep looking for the right one or settle with tan.

Simply not possible.
It's an 05 with navi with 42k miles for $16k. I don't think I'll find a better deal.
I'll just deal with the tan and if I happen upon a wrecked TL somewhere with a black interior, I'll buy it.

By tan, do you mean parchment? probably. I personally have that on my WDP TL and prefer it actually. It's really classy. I also think it's unique to a black TL as most you see have black interior. You could always tint your windows also to make it look darker from the outside. $16k is also a pretty good price, especially if it's from the dealer. Around here, '05 w/o navi and 50k miles asking is $19k.

find someone semi-local who has black or grey and would like to trade for Tan. Maybe you can give them a bit of cash as incentive to swap if they are indifferent. Drive over to his place, order a pizza, buy some beers and spend a day together doing the swap.
