interior light connections

i'm a newbie at this, but after reading some threads you guys look like you know what you're doing. i want to connect some footwell led's that come on when you open a door. where's the best place to make the connection?

thanks in advance,

There are a lot of threads about your question. Do a search for footwell lights/lighted door sills. I used the connection next to the glovebox with a quick connector. My footwell lights only operate when the front doors are opened.

I wire it up on the armrest glove box courtesy light. When my parking lights or headlamp is on, it will light up. The one I have is not too bright so it will not cause any obstruction while driving at night.

Here is my

I did it myself. Took me no more than 2 hour if you want a clean job. Very easy to install.

I ran the wires from the back seats onto the center console glove box courtesy light. I run the wires inside the carpet and use a cloth hanger and reel it onto the center console glover box
