Interior LED info needed
So I've noticed like tons of thread about the LED conversions everyone has done to the interior but as with all the threads, each one is different! Can someone tell me or give me the thread that shows the actuall LED's that work and are bright for the interior? I'm looking to change ALL the interior lights as well as the front blinkers and reverse lights. Pics of the bulbs would help greatly too.

for blinkers (if you have a 3g tl I assume you do) go with 48led switchback by vleds.com I went with the white amber white and it looks awesome, also get the resistors if you don't want hyperblink. Haven't found a bright enough leds for reverse lights ( i have dark tint on the rear window so looking for a decent brightness) could always go with the hid kit for the reverse haha

I was looking at Autolumination.com ; AdvancedAutomotiveConcepts.com ; Höen.com etc. I'm wanting to order my DRL's from Höen, my CCFL's from AAC and all my interior LED's from Autolumination. I just need to know what size and a pic for the interiors.

Well NHfastandfree, what if I want the blinker to blink white and stay white too? I'm not a fan of the yellow at all. I had all white blinkers in my AMG front and back. I'm not sure what bulbs but they were the same as the stock bulb but the bulb it's self was blue but light it white.

Hope that helps with the sizes.
Don't worry about some of the sizes though. The 2 front domes, 2 rear domes, 2 doors, 2 vanity, trunk and 2 license plate all share the same bulb type.

You will want the LED panels for the domes---large panels for the main domes, small panels for the vanities. You can use wedge type bulbs in the doors. The license plate bulbs should be the ones with built in heatsinks, since those particular lights are on for long periods of time. Do your homework, there are plenty of threads on this---maybe too many!
For the dash illumination, check the DIYs in the 3G Garage in Section G.

Yeah, but that doesn't mean you can just buy one type for all of them.

You can have SMT [tower/wedge] for all of them!
Some of the panels won't be able to handle boards, unless you get a specific size.
I have LED boards everywhere except for the doors and my license plate [I had boards in there but then I swapped them out].
The biggest I've been able to fit in the map/domes are 6x8 LED boards... I have 4 in total. Two in the front--two in the rear =]
Forgot who it was... Roger555??? He used CREE LEDs and they look bright as hell. Just as bright or brighter than my 6x8s!

Komodo illustrates a good point: There is no right or wrong way to do this and with the ever changing inventory of LED choices, you will be able to find bulbs that do what you want. Unfortunately, looking at what guys did a year ago will not help too much, because there is new product out there that is improved.
I like V-LEDs because they have good pics of the bulbs and it seems you can trust their user ratings. I posted some comments about switchbacks that went up on the site just as I typed them.
Do your research and if you have specific questions, post them up.

Yeah I'm going to have to do more research on this LED stuff cause I want to buy them once and have it done. Not have to return this and that. I'll get all the bulbs that I've been looking at together and post them and see if their good choices or not. That I think would be easier. I want them bright and am thinking about doing the whole car in hyper white but I think I want my domes red. I think that will make the perfect match with the Type S looks.
