Interior Color Selection Survey

I'm curious -

When you selected the TL as your favorite vehicle, you may have had one of two thoughts:

(1) This car kicks @$$! Can't wait to burn a G35!

(2) I'm looking for a luxury car that really performs!

If think that you fit in either of these two categories, here's the survey:

If you fit into category (1), did you prefer the Quartz or Ebony interior?

If you fit into category (2), did you prefer the Parchment or Camel interior?

I guess I'm wondering how well Acura does their research. Compared to other vehicles that I test drove, the TL had the most dramatic difference in their interior choices. Since the TL is in the "sports sedan" category, you really have two markets that you are trying to please, and it seems to me that Acura has done this a lot better than their competition.

PS: For reference, I'm a (2): Parchment.

Me too!! I am number 2 Quartz, but would have taken Ebony. Hated the wood interior.

I could have written Formula 350's reply myself. I feel exactly as he does. I am a 2-Quartz, but seriously considered Ebony, and would not have considered either of the interiors with the fake wood.

2 - quartz. Ebony is classy, but too hot in the summer heat.

2 with Ebony (black on black). I’m having the rears covered with a dark gray sheep skins for my two little girls. They hate the cold leather of my wife Mercedes, so I told them I would get them something warm and cozy to sit on.

2 - Ebony

I liked Quartz as my 2nd favorite , but saw a demo car with quartz interior that looked like elephants had stomped all over it. The dirt showed too easily.

As for stomping a G35 in performance - who cares? My interior stomps a G35 and the performance is damn good to boot - hence the purchase.

2 - Ebony.

Couldn't deal with any of the fake wood interiors and didn't like the 2-tone look of quartz with the black dash.

I'm not too particular about whose ass I can kick, but when I do kick butt, I like doing it with luxury, performance and listening to XM radio. And, oh yes, Ebony for me.

choice of interior

2- Quartz but with the wood interior vs. the black carbon stuff. I posted on other threads the changes I did to my TL.

(2) Ebony

(2) Ebony - Easier to maintain but you will need to tint the windows to keep the interior in great condition long term.

So far (if I counted correctly):

8 for the Parchment/Camel (what I would think is more of a "luxury" decor with the "wood trim")

and ...

27 for the Ebony / Quartz (what I would think is more of a "sporty" decor with the "carbon fiber")

More than 3:1 in favor of the Ebony / Quartz so far ... I wonder what Acura is seeing in their orders?

I'm surprised that it isn't closer to a 50 / 50 split. Does that say something about this forum, perhaps?

2 - Camel.

I liked the wood interior since I enjoy the various colors and textures, plus I think the camel looks best with the deep green pearl.
