Intake HELP!

Good morning Acurazine Ladies and Gent,

I have a question regards to which intake to choose from. I don't know if cold air is something i would want because im afraid it might hydrolock, but what do you guys think? Is hydrolocking something i should be worrying about? I am currently looking at the Short ram for K&N but i've heard that you have to plug some hole because of a sensor or something that our TL's doesn't have. It would be nice if you guys can post up your intake or which intake would you prefer it would be great! Thanks

K&N 69-1210TS Air Intake, 69 Series Typhoon Kits

Thanks in advance

It's the blue one installed in the pic of my Avatar. I regularly get 36 MPG in my TL on the freeway.

It's "plug and play" and I've never had a code thrown or a worry about driving in the rain.

Others will come shortly and talk you out of a cold air intake...especially the short-ram.

Check section B here for some of that info:
https://acurazine.com/forums/third-g...ewbies-553554/

You will find many opinions on the intake here from it robs horsepower by introducing a more warm air intake with the shorter aftermarket intakes, to modifying the existing intake by removing the resonator and extending the existing intake a bit lower for more cold air, to others which have a good argument for the existing intake being the best design with a higher flow air filter in the existing box....
