installing tail lights

installing tail lights

i have an 04 TL i was wondering how do you install tail lights? is there a step by step way? can you take it off without removing the bumper?

jonathan, I just did this wednesday night. there is no way possible to do this without AT LEAST unhooking the corners of the bumper.(behind the rear wheel. It is no nessecary to take the whole bumper off to complete the job but if you have a floor jack and a friend its not too terribly bad. No man, you do NOT have to take off the bumper.
If you have a short phillips you unscrew 3 screws behind each rear wheel and 1 bolt each side (can see the opening when you open the trunk) then you just pry the bumper down to get to the 2 bolts that hold the tail light. Then inside the trunk, undo the 2 fasteners and just pray the liner back and you can access everything else.
No more than a 30 min. job.
