Installing LED's in DRL's?

Is it possible to simply plug in LED's into the 07's DRL's?

Do the DRL's run lower than 12V's? I would like to change that dingy yellow to hyper white.

Was thinking about installing this:

i'd be interested if it's fairly simple swap. - which looks like it. but price seems bit steep

DRL's run on 6V - 12v wired in series of bulbs

that would look sick. if i had the DRL's i would def do it. you can prob obtain HID coloration out of the DRL's for less than 1/3 the price!

someone do this mod, and take pics!

you may need some voltage resistors, although i don't know if the DRL's are linked to the MID.

I would definately do it! I've had my '07 two days now and I love it. I saw the DRLs in a reflection at a store and wondered why they didn't make them white. I think it would look great.

Problem is that the bulb is only getting half power. Thats why the yellow light. With full power they should be white. I like those LED's bulbs. BE THE FIRST ONE...

Well.....a week ago after bringing my '07 baby home I started taking out the interior lights putting in the 9LED bulbs blue bulbs I had in my '06. Everytime I put them in the wrong way they blew a 7.5A fuze. After using the spare, the one from the TPMS, and two more I bought, 5 total I got them all in. Funny but this never happened on the '06. I would like to change the lights to white but I would be ready with a replacement fuze.

Well I don't care if they're very bright. (The DRL's aren't very bright themselves)

What I care to know is, will you get a "pure white" color? Rather than the yellow dim color we otherwise get just having the stock DRL's? That's my main concern.
