installing AEM Intake and did something stupid...Help

installing AEM Intake and did something stupid...Help

Well, I didnt realize it wasnt gonna be as easy as sliding the intake in...so I was running out of time and had removed the battery as instructed...and I needed to get into my truck and I hooked up the battery backwards!!....WHOOPS!..was in a hurry and now No power at all to anything with it hooked up right!...Is there a fuse or something??....THanks!

i've heard that there is a "main power" fuse that is about 120 amps that should blow out incase of situations like yours.

i just looked it up in my 04 manual on pg. 247. It is located in the fuse panel under the hood. Fuse number 22, it is 100 amps and is called "battery fuse" not "main power fuse"

I hope their is a fuse. Otherwise you may have destroyed every diode in the damn car. My mom had a gas station jump an old car backwards and they had to have a new PCM, Alternater Diode, etc, put in. Good luck.

hopefully on an acura they would have built in preventatives... which i know they do.

Thanks guys. Ill check when I get home from work. Hope they do as well. You figure for 38K they would have some protection from retards like me that get in a hurry and do something stupid....lol...surely they thought of that....jk

Next time, you need to get into your trunk without battery power, I think you can open the pass thru door to the trunk and pull the manual release lever/loop.
