i just got my tint done with mole skin at mike tint shop in OC and after everytime i was my car and roll down the window the inside part of my window is wet. I called up the tint shop and they claim they are not responable for it so does anyone know a place in SO Cal that will help me reinstall my mole skin or felt.

I just had my car tinted and moleskin-ed by Tint Zone in Rowland Heights. Not sure of his phone number but you can search on Yahoo Yellow Pages.

have you wash you car and try to roll down the window after ward?

 

The car was tinted last Sat, so I don't know if I'll have that problem. But, why would you roll down your windows after washing? Moleskin or not, outside or inside or both, the windows will have water streaks.

Paid $50 for the felt themselves on all 4 doors.

 

you would think the water would be on the outside but this is on the inside.

 

I got my car tinted last weekend at California Tint Shop in Northridge. They included the moleksin in the purchase price...I paid 160 and got 5% all around. I think it might be 20 bucks for the moleskin itself because thats what they used to charge extra but now they include it in the price with a tint.

 

do you guys know if they took the door panel off to put on the mole skin? this place i know for sure did not. but i think your suppose to right?

if they are not going to fix it for me ill just go some where else and have the felt put on correctly. hey can you get me the number to the tint shop you guys when too.

i got the number for tint zone but no one every picks up.

for mine they would have taken it off to do the tint anyways. Also i forgot to mention that they did the rear quarter windows properly and didnt leave the ugly gap that some other tint jobs have. What exactly is mole skin? I am going to get my windows tinted either this weekend or next and would like some advice. And a response to an above post, I have rolled my windows down after washing my car and the water does not get on the windows. or if it is raining and i roll them down the water on the windows does not smear? Why is this?

 

Moleskin is felt material that is applied to the inner window rubber wipers. The rubber wipers are on the top part of your door panels and they press against to the glass pretty hard. Without moleskin, the tint eventually will get scratched up because if dirt gets caught between the rubber and the tint, it acts like sand paper.
